AR Project

The AR project has gotten so popular with everyone it is going to be a multi-part article. There is so much interest in this project we have different products from different companies to use so it will be set up in different configurations and each one will be a “chapter” of this project article.

With that said the first part of the set-up will be with SureFire products. We start this build with an M-4 Style DPMS rifle chambered in 5.56 which means you can shoot .223 without any problems.

So we wanted to build it up to go military / tactical type style. SureFire was first on the list. We installed the following:

SureFire products used:

M73 Picatinny Rail Forend for M4

M951XM07 Mill. Univ. WL, 6-Volt, 1.47" Head, Dual Thumbscrew Mount

Infared filter cover for the light

(Optional X300 weapon light w/ pressure pad) for less weight applications

(Note: I would like to have also used one of their Vertical Foregrip Weaponlights - M910A but they are going to be discontinued from what I have been told – That is an intimidating looking grip/light combo that I personally think is great)

Also on this first part of the article there is a tango down foregrip that has Velcro I added on the right side to attach the pressure pads from all the SureFire lights. The optics on this setup is ATN holographic sight.

This is a project that will continue over time. There will be more photos of this SureFire build in the next couple weeks. Please visit SureFire at: www.surefire.com to look at these products used so far for this build. Also watch for us at seminars as this will be display at all the events that rifles will be allowed ..!
